Communication/Outreach Committee

Mission:

The Communication/Outreach Committee of NJ APSE will strive to advance employment opportunities for people with disabilities in NJ by:

Serving the membership of NJ APSE through ongoing communication via quarterly newsletters and the website and promoting increased involvement in NJ APSE related activities

Increasing the membership and visibility of NJ APSE

Collaborating/partnering with the following:
                   -Providers
                   -State Agencies
                   -Other Professional Organizations/Advocacy Groups
                   -People with Disabilities and Their Families
                   -Employers
                   -Legislators

Goals:
                  -Increase membership
                  -Make communication via the newsletter and website more efficient
                   and user friendly
                  -Develop marketing materials

Ongoing Tasks of the Committee:
                  -Quarterly Newsletter – writing, editing, designing, and mailing
                  -Website – designing, writing, updating, …
                  -Publicizing Membership Meetings – creating flyers, getting presenters
                  -Developing Marketing Materials/Packets
                  -Marketing NJ APSE and Events
                  -Recruiting members
                  -Establishing partnerships
